  • Amy Bidwill

Amy Bidwill is a compassionate and dedicated counselor who brings warmth, presence, and purpose into her work with children, adolescents, and adults. With a strong passion for trauma recovery and addiction work, Amy is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can begin to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

Amy has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and complex trauma, which informs her trauma-focused, strengths-based approach to therapy. She believes that clients are the experts of their own stories, and she partners with them to build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and move toward healthier relationships—with others and with themselves.

Her clinical experience includes supporting youth in group and individual settings, teaching life skills, and helping clients build emotional regulation strategies. She is especially drawn to working with children and teens, using creativity, play, and movement to meet them where they are. Whether she’s working with a young person or an adult, Amy’s calm presence and genuine care foster trust and connection in the therapeutic relationship.

Outside of her clinical work, Amy enjoys yoga, pilates, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She’s a certified yoga sculpt instructor and often integrates mindfulness and movement into her personal wellness practice. Her love of reading about mental health and holistic healing continues to inspire her clinical work and deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection.

Amy’s goal is to build strong, therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to face life’s challenges. She considers it an honor to walk alongside her clients and is thrilled to be part of the Self Care Counseling team.
