Lexie has a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build confidence in their mental health and well-being. With experience in both private practice and community mental health settings, Lexie brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to counseling that is grounded in collaboration and trust.
Lexie’s journey into counseling began with a high school psychology elective that sparked a lasting interest in understanding human behavior and emotional well-being. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology and later completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Lexie remains committed to ongoing professional growth and staying informed about best practices in the field.
At the heart of Lexie’s counseling approach is meeting clients where they are. She emphasizes identifying strengths, building self-confidence, and creating a genuine, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Lexie values the therapeutic relationship and works intentionally to foster a strong and supportive therapeutic alliance.
Lexie specializes in working with children and adolescents and has also expanded her work to include adults, particularly women navigating the demands and transitions of adulthood. She commonly supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, and confidence-related challenges.
Lexie utilizes evidence-based counseling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs, goals, and stage of life.
Her professional experience includes impactful internships with Pathways Inc., Greenup County High School, and the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities. These experiences shaped her ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a wide range of concerns.
In sessions, Lexie focuses on creating a supportive and empowering environment, celebrating both small and meaningful progress along the way. She takes a goal-oriented yet flexible approach, helping clients break challenges into manageable steps while improving day-to-day functioning and overall well-being.
Lexie is known for her calm, personable, and unbiased presence. She thoughtfully uses silence when appropriate, allowing clients the space to process difficult experiences, and excels at helping clients identify root concerns and initiate positive change.
Lexie provides both in-person and telehealth counseling, thoughtfully adapting her approach to meet clients where they are. She remains open to incorporating new tools and innovations that enhance the therapeutic experience.
